INFO & FAQ

Where are you located? I am a home-based custom order bakery operating under Michigan's Cottage Food laws. If you're interested, please find more info. in the "About" menu tab. I am located in Fremont, MI but happily serve surrounding counties in West Michigan. *If your venue requires your cake/dessert bakery to be licensed by the state of Michigan, I am unable to serve you.

How much are your cakes, cupcakes, and dessert bar options? Please find detailed information on the home page, "Menu & Pricing"
Can I request a quote? Yes! If you have a good idea of your event details and/or what sort of cake/desserts you're looking for, feel free to submit a quote request form, available on the "CONTACT" page.

Can we do a cake tasting? Absolutely! A tasting box not only offers you an idea of the quality of our bakes, but it also lets you try a few unique flavors to help you decide what you might like to serve. Tasting boxes include a half dozen servings of product (cupcakes, cake servings, cake truffles, lil' pies, or whatever you'd like to try!) and costs $30. This $30 payment is fully credited toward your order if you choose to make one. Your box can be picked up or shipped to your home address!

How many servings? My suggested servings are just intended as a guide. How you cut the cake and what size servings you'd like can make a difference. I provide a typical wedding serving suggestion, which is 1" x 2" x 4"
Do you deliver? Delivery and setup are included in wedding orders of $100 or more within 15 miles of Fremont. Delivery fees are $0.89 per mile beyond the included 30 miles roundtrip. I offer delivery services for non-wedding orders as well for a fee based on location in Newaygo, Muskegon, Oceana, and Kent counties.
How far in advance should I order, and do I need to make a deposit? I typically need at least one week's notice for party cakes and cupcakes, and about 4 weeks notice for large party or wedding orders. Party cakes, cupcakes, and dessert orders over $100 require a 50% deposit at time of booking, and the remaining 50% is due upon pickup or delivery.
Deposits for Weddings: Wedding orders require a 25% non-refundable deposit, which can be made by cash, check, or credit card. The remaining balance is due two weeks before the event.
How do I keep/store the cake? Cakes are freshest within 24 hours but will keep best at room temperature for up to 48 hours. Because they are scratch-baked without preservatives, you should consider freezing any portions of uneaten cake. Take out to defrost while still wrapped, and enjoy again at room temperature! You can refrigerate cake during warm temperatures, but be mindful of any refrigerator odors.
Do you bake for special diets or allergies? My kitchen is not nut, wheat, or dairy-free. Individuals with severe nut, wheat, and dairy allergies shouldn't consume any food from kitchens that don't specialize in these products. I am, however, happy to offer vegan options for those who have these dietary preferences.
Additional Features - Inquire about any additional features on the cake like gold leaf, fresh flowers, custom toppers, etc.
